Bellary: ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ನಿಗಮದ ಹಗರಣದಲ್ಲಿ (Valmiki Corporation Scam) ಜೈಲು ಪಾಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಮಾಜಿ ಸಚಿವ ಬಿ.ನಾಗೇಂದ್ರ (B Nagendra) ಅವರು ಜೈಲಿನಿಂದ ಜಾಮೀನಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ನಾನು ಯಾವುದೇ ತಪ್ಪು ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ, ಇದೆಲ್ಲ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಆರೋಪ. ಸಣ್ಣದೋಷ ಇಲ್ಲದೇ ಹೊರ ಬರುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ಹಾಕಿದರು. ಅಲ್ಲದೇ ಪರಪ್ಪನ ಅಗ್ರಹಾರದ ಜೈಲಿನ ಗೋಡೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ನಾಯಕರ ಹೆಸರು ಬರೆದು ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅವರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಜೈಲು ಪಾಲಾಗ್ತಾರೆ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
‘ನನ್ನ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಷಡ್ಯಂತ್ರ ಆಗಿದೆ, ನಾನು ಅಕ್ರಮ ಮಾಡಿರುವೆ ಎಂದು ಕೆಲವರು ನಂಬಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದು ಸುಳ್ಳು ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಯಾರನ್ನೂ ನಂಬಿಸಬೇಕಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಸುಳ್ಳಿನ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಕೈ ಹಾಕಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಾನು ಹಲವು ಬಾರಿ ಜೈಲು (Jail) ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಾಯಕನಾದ ನಾನು, ಇಂತಹದ್ದಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲ ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆದರಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ, ಒಂದು ಸುಳ್ಳು ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಗೂಬೆ ಕೂರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ’ ಎಂದು ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ನಾಯಕರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ನಾಗೇಂದ್ರ ಕಿಡಿಕಾರಿದರು.
ಹಗರಣ ಎಂದು ಬಿಜೆಪಿಯ (BJP) ಯಾರೆಲ್ಲ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆಯೋ ಅವರನ್ನೇ ಅದು ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರಿ. ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಪರಪ್ಪನ ಅಗ್ರಹಾರ ಜೈಲಿನ ಗೋಡೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರೆದು ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅವರೆಲ್ಲ ಜೈಲು ಪಾಲು ಆಗುತ್ತಾರೆ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಇರಿ ಎಂದರು.
ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ನಿಗಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋಟ್ಯಂತರ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಹಣ ಅಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ವರ್ಗಾವಣೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದು ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಬೆನ್ನಲ್ಲೇ, ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗ ಸಚಿವರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ಬಿ.ನಾಗೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರ ಪಾತ್ರವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಚಿವ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೂ ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಆರೋಪದ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ನಾಗೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಬಳಿಕ ಇಡಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ನಾಗೇಂದ್ರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಚಾರ್ಜ್‌ಶೀಟ್‌ (Charge Sheet) ಕೂಡ ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಗೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರೇ ಆರೋಪಿ ಎಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹಲವು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಒದಗಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಇದರ ನಡುವೆಯೇ ಬಿ.ನಾಗೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ (Court) ರಿಲೀಫ್‌ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಜನಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯವು ಬಿ.ನಾಗೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಷರತ್ತುಬದ್ಧ ಜಾಮೀನು ಮಂಜೂರು ಮಾಡಿದೆ.

Bellary: Former Minister B. Nagendra, who was jailed in the Valmiki Corporation Scam, has been released from jail on bail. I have not done anything wrong, this is all a false accusation. He shed tears saying that he will come out without a single flaw. I have also written the names of BJP leaders on the wall of Parappa’s Agrahara jail. He has predicted that all of them will escape from jail.

In this world of lies, they are ready to do bad work. I have seen Jail many times. I, your leader, am not afraid of anything like this. However, they have come forward with a lie and sat on me,” Nagendra lashed out at the BJP leaders.

After the illegal transfer of crores of rupees in the Valmiki Development Corporation came to light, it was said that B. Nagendra, who was also a minister at the time, had a role in this. Hence, he resigned from his ministerial post as well. Nagendra was arrested on this charge. Later, the ED officials had also prepared a charge sheet against Nagendra.
Nagendra had also provided many witnesses that he was the accused. Meanwhile, B. Nagendra got relief in the court. B. Nagendra was granted conditional bail by the People’s Representative Court which heard the case.
