Namibia Facing Drought, Plans to Kill Wild Animals for Meat

Shocking News: ಅಬ್ಬಬ್ಬಾ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳರಿಯದಂತಹ ಭೀಕರ ಬರಗಾಲವು ಆಫ್ರಿಕಾದ ನಮಿಭಿಯಾ (Namibia) ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಆಹಾರದ ಅಭಾವ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಸಿವಿನಿಂದ ಜನರನ್ನ ಪಾರು ಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು (Hunting) ಮಾಂಸ ಹಂಚಲು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರಗಳು ಬರದಿಂದ ಆಹಾರ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮಾಂಸ ನೀಡಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿದೆ. ಶೇ.84 ರಷ್ಟು ಆಹಾರ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣೆ (Food Storage) ಕಳೆದ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಖಾಲಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮುಂದಿನ ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಹಾರದ ಕೊರತೆ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಮಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ತಲುಪುವುದು ಖಚಿತ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

83 ಆನೆಗಳು (Elephants), 30 ನಿರಾನೆಗಳು, 60 ಎಮ್ಮೆ, 100 ಕಾಡುಕೋಣ, 50 ಇಂಪಾಲಾ, 100 ಕೃಷ್ಣಮೃಗ 300 ಝೀಬ್ರಾಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ 723 ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ದೇಶದ ವಿವಿಧ ಆಯ್ದ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಕೊಂದು ಅವುಗಳ ಮಾಂಸ ಹಂಚಲು ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಇಚ್ಛಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಪಡೆದ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಬೇಟೆಗಾರರು 157 ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು 56,800 ಕೆಜಿಗು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಸಂವಿಧಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ನಮೀಬಿಯಾದ ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಅನುಕೂಲಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಇದು ಅಗತ್ಯವೂ ಆಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಮೀಬಿಯಾದ ಪರಿಸರ ಸಚಿವಾಲಯ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ. ಎಲ್ ನಿನೋ ಪರಿಣಾಮದಿಂದ ಮಳೆ ಕೊರತೆ, ಒಣ ಹಬೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿಕೆ (Drought), ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ತಾಪಮಾನ, ಮುಂತಾದವುಗಳಿಂದ ನಮಿಬೀಯಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸುಮಾರು 1.4 ಮಿಲಿಯನ್ ಜನರು ಅಥವಾ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ 48%ರಷ್ಟು ಜನರು ತೀವ್ರ ಆಹಾರ ಕೊರತೆಯನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ವರದಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.

Shocking News: An unheard of terrible drought has occurred in the African country of Namibia, resulting in food shortages. In this country, it has been decided to kill animals and distribute meat to save people from hunger, and local governments have decided to give meat to people who are facing food problems due to drought. It has been informed that 84% of the food storage (Food Storage) has been emptied in the last month and it is certain that the shortage of food will reach the maximum level in the coming months.

The government wants to identify and kill 723 animals including 83 elephants, 30 elephants, 60 buffaloes, 100 wildebeests, 50 impalas, 100 blackbucks and 300 zebras in selected areas of the country and distribute their meat. Government-contracted agencies and hunters killed 157 animals and collected over 56,800 kg of meat.

According to the Namibian Ministry of Environment, natural resources are used for the benefit of the citizens of Namibia and this is necessary in accordance with our country’s constitution. It is said that due to El Nino effect, lack of rain, continuation of dry steam (Drought), high temperature, etc. have created a drought situation in Namibia. About 1.4 million people, or 48% of the population, are reported to be facing acute food insecurity.
