Bengaluru hit by Heavy Rains: District Collector Declared Holiday for Schools as a Precautionary Measure.

Bengaluru: ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು (Bengaluru) ನಗರದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಭಾನುವಾರ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸೋಮವಾರ ಬೆಳ್ಳಂಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆಯೇ ಗುಡುಗು ಸಹಿತ ಭಾರಿ ಮಳೆ ಸುರಿದಿದೆ. ಭಾರೀ ಮಳೆ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ಇಂದು ಶಾಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ರಜೆ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಡಿಸಿ ಜಗದೀಶ್ (D.C Jagadish) ಆದೇಶ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಮಳೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಇಂದು ಮುಂಜಾಗೃತ ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಹಿತದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ (Anganawadi Centers) ಹಾಗೂ ಖಾಸಗೀ/ಅನುದಾನಿತ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ, ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ರಜೆಯನ್ನು ಘೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಇನ್ನು ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ಕಟ್ಟಡಗಳು (College) ದುರ್ಬಲವಾಗಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ, ಶಿಥಿಲ ಕಟ್ಟಡಗಳು ಇದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತಹ ಕಟ್ಟಡಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಠ ಪ್ರವಚನಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಳಸುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದೂ ಆದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮುಂಜಾಗ್ರತಾ ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ರಜೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕಲಿಕಾ ಸಮಯ ಕೊರತೆಯನ್ನು ಶನಿವಾರ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ ಅಥವಾ ಭಾನುವಾರ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ತರಗತಿ ನಡೆಸಲು ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪೋಷಕರು, ಕಾಲೇಜು ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ನೀರು ಇರುವ ತಗ್ಗು ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗದಂತೆ ಜಾಗ್ರತೆ ವಹಿಸಬೇಕು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ವಾಹನಗಳ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಆದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಭಾರಿ ಮಳೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮತ್ತು ಮಳೆಯ ಮುನ್ಸೂಚನೆ ಇರುವುದರಿಂದ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಜನತೆಗೆ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಹಲವು ಮುನ್ನೆಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ಕ್ರಮ ವಹಿಸುವಂತೆ ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ. “ನಾಗರಿಕರೇ, ಇದು 21.10.2024 ರಂದು ಭಾರೀ ಮಳೆಯಾಗುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಿದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಮುನ್ನೆಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ. ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆಯೇ ಇರಿ, ಕಿಟಕಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದರೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ. ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಶ್ರಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿ, ಮರಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಪಡೆಯಬೇಡಿ. ಕಾಂಕ್ರೀಟ್ ಗೋಡೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಒರಗಬೇಡಿ. ವಿದ್ಯುತ್/ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಾನಿಕ್ (Electronic) ಉಪಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ಅನ್​ಪ್ಲಗ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಇಡಿ. ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಜಲಮೂಲಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊರಬನ್ನಿ ಎಂದು ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ (BBMP) ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ”. ಈ ವಿಚಾರವಾಗಿ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಎಕ್ಸ್​​ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂದೇಶ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದೆ.

Bengaluru: Heavy rain accompanied by thunder lashed across Bengaluru city on Sunday night and early Monday morning. District Collector D.C Jagadish has issued an order declaring a holiday for schools across Bangalore city district today in the wake of heavy rains.

District Collector said that it is raining continuously throughout Bangalore city district, today as a precautionary measure and in the interest of students, a holiday has been announced for Anganawadi Centers and private/aided primary and high schools in all taluks of Bangalore city district.

The order also states that if the buildings of the colleges are weak, dilapidated, such buildings cannot be used for lectures. Due to the lack of learning time due to the holiday as a precautionary measure, an additional class has been instructed to be held on Saturday afternoon or Sunday. Parents of students, college heads, students should be careful not to go to low-lying areas where there is water. The order said that students should take care of the safety of vehicles going to colleges.

BBMP has advised the people of Bengaluru to take several precautionary measures as heavy rain is expected and there is a forecast of rain. “Citizens, it is likely to be heavy rain on 21.10.2024. So please take precautions in the following areas. Stay indoors, close windows and doors and avoid travel if possible. Take shelter in safe places, don’t take shelter under trees. Do not lean against concrete walls. Unplug electrical/electronic devices. Immediately “BBMP has advised to get out of the water bodies”.
