Shelter city residents protest against DC notice to vacate 3500 families.
Bengaluru: ರಾಜರಾಜೇಶ್ವರಿ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ (Rajarajeshwari Assembly Constituency) HMT ವಾರ್ಡಿನ ಆಶ್ರಯ ನಗರ ಸ್ಲಂನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದ 25 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ವಾಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ 3,500ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳನ್ನು ಖಾಲಿ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಡಳಿತ ನೋಟಿಸ್ (Notice) ನೀಡಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಸೂಚನೆಯಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ಹೊರ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಇವರೆಲ್ಲ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ, ಕಳೆದ 25 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ವಾಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. 3,500 ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳು ಜೀವ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಆ ಜಾಗ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೊರಡುವಂತೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು (Bengaluru) ನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಈ ಒಂದು ನೋಟಿಸ್ ಈಗ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ಭುಗಿಲೇಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಅವರ ಬದುಕೇ ಈಗ ಅತಂತ್ರ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ತಲುಪಿದೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಬೀದಿಗೆ ಇಳಿದು ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸದ್ಯ ಇವರು ವಾಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೈ ಟೆನ್ಷನ್ ವೈರ್ಗಳು (High Tension) ಹಾದು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದು, ವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಲ್ಲ, ಅಪಾಯಕಾರಿ ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಜಾಗ ಖಾಲಿ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಡಳಿತ ಆದೇಶ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಇದೇ ವಿಚಾರ ಇವರ ಆಕ್ರೋಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಎಲ್ಲೋ ಜಾಗ ಇದೆ ನೀವು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಂದರೆ ಹೇಗೆ? ನಮಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತವಾದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು, ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ನಾಯಕರು ಯಾರು ಸರಿಯಿಲ್ಲ. ಎಲೆಕ್ಷನ್ (Election) ಟೈಮಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ ಹಾಕಿ ಅಂತ ಮಾತ್ರ ಕೇಳ್ತಾರೆ ಈಗ ಯಾರು ಬರೋದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ನಾವು 25 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀವಿ, ಈಗ ಏಕಾಏಕಿ ಕರೆಂಟ್ ವೈರ್ ಇದೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರು ಜೀವನ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಖಾಲಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಅಂದರೆ ಹೇಗೆ? ನಾವು ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೋಗಲ್ಲ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ನಮಗೆ ಸೈಟ್ (Site) ನೀಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕಿಡಿಕಾರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆಶ್ರಯ ನಗರದ 7-8 ಎಕರೆ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರೆಲ್ಲ ವಾಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈಗ ಗೌಡನ ಹಳ್ಳಿ (Gowdana Halli) ಎಂಬ ಕಡೆ 1 ಎಕರೆ ಜಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ನೀವೆಲ್ಲ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು ಅಂತ ಡಿಸಿ ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದು ಹೇಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯ? ಇಷ್ಟೊಂದು ಮಂದಿ 1 ಎಕರೆ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಗೆ ವಾಸ ಮಾಡೋದು ಅಂತ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಏನೇ ಆದರೂ ನಮಗೆ ಒಂದು ಸೂರು ಭದ್ರ ಆಗುವವರೆಗೂ ನಾವು ಈಗ ಜಾಗ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕದಲಲ್ಲ ಅಂತ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಪಟ್ಟು ಹಿಡಿದು ರಸ್ತೆಗೆ ಬಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಮನವಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸದೆ, ಮನೆಗಳ ತೆರವು ಮಾಡಲು ಬಂದರೆ ಆಗುವ ಅನಾಹುತಕ್ಕೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರವೇ ಹೊಣೆ ಅಂತ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇವರ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟ ಕೇಳಲು ಯಾರು ಇಲ್ಲದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಈಗ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಆಗಿದೆ.

Bengaluru: The district administration has issued a notice to vacate more than 3,500 families who have been living in the sheltered urban slum of HMT ward of Rajarajeshwari Assembly Constituency for the past 25 years.
All of them were living without minimum basic amenities for the last 25 years. This one notice given by the Bengaluru city district collector to leave the place where 3,500 families have built their lives has made everyone angry and their lives have now reached a precarious state. So they took to the streets and protested and expressed their outrage.
High tension wires have passed in the area where he is currently living and it has been declared unfit for habitation and dangerous. The district administration has issued an order for everyone to vacate the space, and this is the reason for their anger. The government has a place somewhere, how do you go there? We should have a suitable arrangement, the political leaders here are not right. They expressed outrage that they only asked to vote during the election time, but now no one has come.
We have been living here for 25 years, now suddenly there is a current wire. We cannot go from here for any reason, the government should give us a site. All of them are living in the 7-8 acre land of Asharya Nagar. Now the DC has instructed that you should all go to a 1 acre place called Gowdana Halli. How is this possible? So many people are asking how to live in 1 acre land.
No matter what, the locals have come to the road and protested that we will not leave the place until a roof is secured for us. They have warned that the government will be responsible for the disaster if they come to vacate the houses without responding to our request. There is no one to listen to their suffering.
